A family history

In the family of Frédéric Laporte, managing director of LF Transactions, the love of stone has been passed down from generation to generation for more than a century.

In the 18th century, the Laporte family's reputation was built on the exceptional quality of its building materials, such as ashlar and cobblestones, sourced directly from selected quarries.

In the 19th century, under the leadership of Émile Laporte, the Laporte group specialised in the production of "ballast" for railways and the underground, evolving into a major public works company.

After 1918, Émile Laporte and Compagnie Entreprises became manufacturers and distributors of building materials, operating a dozen factories across France.

In 1936, Pierre Laporte, Émile's son, took over the family business and became a visionary creator, also diversifying into the construction of clay launchers and pigeons for Ball-Trap.

In 1960, Pierre made Olympic history with Laporte at the Rome Games. That same year, he created La Siesta, a leisure complex, a veritable party paradise by the sea in Antibes, which became a meeting place for the jet-set of the 60s: Belmondo, Delon, Johnny, Gainsbourg, Birkin, Bronson, Ventura, Prost, the Beatles, the Grimaldis, the princely family of Monaco, King Hussein of Jordan and so many others!

Pierre's son, Jean-Michel, continued the family business and developed a real estate branch specialising in commercial property. Thanks to its regular innovations, Laporte Ball-Trap remains an official supplier to the Olympic Games.

Today, Frédéric Laporte, Émile's great-grandson, has been working in international sales since 1995. His rich and varied experience has taken him from selling prefabricated products to export sales management.

In 2019, Frédéric has decided to devote his passion and expertise to real estate, continuing the family legacy in a new field.
